On February 21, our family lost Sandy Kuza after she suffered a stroke two weeks prior. Sandy was a gentle, loving grandmother who was deeply devoted to her granddaughters, Marah and Lily. She cherished time with both of them, and her greatest joy was being present in their lives.
For years, Sandy, her daughter Jennifer, and Marah lived together as a close-knit family. Jennifer has been the full-time caregiver for both her mother and Marah, which meant she has not been able to work outside the home. Marah, who is 35, has special needs and will always require full-time care. She is also a cancer survivor who bravely beat low odds and came through her fight with strength and resilience. She remains the happy, loving heart of their home.
With Sandy’s sudden passing, Jennifer and Marah are facing both emotional devastation and immediate financial strain. In addition to unexpected funeral expenses, there are ongoing medical bills and the basic costs of keeping their home. Without Sandy’s presence and support, the financial reality has become overwhelming.
We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover funeral costs, medical bills, and essential household expenses so Jennifer and Marah can remain in their home while they work toward stability during this incredibly difficult time.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others.
Thank you for helping us honor Sandy’s memory by caring for the family she loved so dearly.
