My name is Tyesha Merritt. On 11/29, I unexpectedly lost my mother due to heart disease. My mother, Sanada Merritt, was a very loving, caring, strong woman who was saved by Christ & walked her path with him every day.

My mother paid her insurance policy for over two years, and due to her being hospitalized in October and November, her policy was canceled with no notice from the company—not a phone call, no letter in the mail, nothing. Not even a simple 'you have till x, y, and z to make a payment or we will cancel your policy.' My mother passed believing she had an insurance policy to help cover the cost of her funeral.

On Dec 3rd, I became aware of the policy no longer being active and not even a percentage would be covered, even though she paid for all these years, which just isn’t right. My mother was a good woman, and I am coming here to ask for donations so I can give my mother the proper burial services. With the insurance no longer helping, I am here not only trying to grieve my mother, but I am also now overwhelmed with stress because of the cost of the burial services, which is set on the 9th and is now being held off.
