On behalf of our family, I am writing this with a broken heart to share the passing of my sister, Samantha.

Samantha was the oldest of 4 sisters & 1 brother. From the very beginning, she carried that role in her own way bold, outspoken, and full of life. If you ever met her, you remember her. She had a presence that filled a room. She was outgoing, funny, vibrant, and had a spark that could shift the energy wherever she went. She wasn’t just seen, she was felt. That was Samantha.

But behind that bright personality was a woman who struggled deeply. Samantha battled mental health challenges for many years. She was constantly searching for purpose, for stability, for a sense of belonging in a world that often felt heavy and unforgiving. She carried wounds that many never fully understood. Even in the midst of her struggles, she was still trying to figure out what she wanted out of life, still trying to become the best version of herself.

Samantha was a mother. Her journey through motherhood was complex, but the love connected to it was real. Her children are part of her legacy, and they deserve to one day know that their mother was more than her struggles.

Addiction is a painful and complex disease. It does not discriminate, and it does not define a person’s heart. Samantha’s life was bigger than the way it ended. She was a beautiful soul who felt things deeply. She loved deeply. She hurt deeply. And in many ways, she was simply trying to survive in a world that can be incredibly cold.

We are asking for support during this unimaginable time as we navigate funeral expenses and give Samantha the memorial she deserves. Any contribution, prayer, or share means more than words can express. Our family is grieving not just the loss of a sister, but the loss of the laughter, the light, and the presence that made Samantha who she was.
