Anything left over will go towards bills and living expenses as the vet bills alone wiped out my bank account, and then some.
My name is Cameron, and I am heartbroken to share that my beloved service dog, Sadie, passed the rainbow bridge on June 20, 2025, after a brave battle with stomach cancer. Sadie was by my side for 13 years, serving not only as my registered service animal but also as my best friend and constant companion. She was my emotional anchor, always ready with comfort and love, and she never left my side through life’s ups and downs. Her favorite things included car rides with her head out the window, endless games of fetch and tug of war, and being spoiled with treats from coworkers.
Sadie’s impact reached far beyond me. As a support service animal at my workplace, she brought comfort and joy to countless youth during their most challenging times. She was a source of unconditional love for clients and staff alike, and her presence was a daily blessing. Her God-Father Brian, my staff supervisor, cherished her as his own, and the entire team made her feel like family. Even in her final days, Sadie enjoyed every moment—going to work, receiving affection from everyone, and taking a special trip to Muddy Mountain before indulging in her favorite treats from McDonald’s.
Sadie’s passing has left a void in my life and in the hearts of many who knew her. I am raising funds to cover the costs of a private cremation, with her ashes and a tuft of her hair to be returned to me in a special, personalized tin. I hope to upgrade the urn to something unique, adorned with her photos, to honor her memory. Any support will help me give Sadie the dignified farewell she deserves and keep her memory close. Thank you to my coworkers, administration, and night staff for loving Sadie and supporting us both. Your kindness and the memories you shared with her mean the world to me.
