My name is Shamira Smith, and I am creating this fundraiser to honor my beloved mother, Ruby Smith, and to help our family cover her memorial service and final expenses.

Our hearts are broken as we navigate this tremendous loss.

Ruby was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She never met a stranger, and everyone who had the privilege of talking with her walked away feeling seen, loved, and encouraged. She had a beautiful spirit that could brighten any room she entered.

Above all, Ruby was a devoted Christian who passionately loved Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived every day with compassion, grace, and unwavering love for others.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her children unconditionally and absolutely adored her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than spending time with them, hearing them laugh, and watching them create memories together.

If you knew my mother, you probably remember her favorite sayings. Whenever she wholeheartedly agreed with something, she would smile and say, "I mean!" or "I'll say!" Those simple words became part of who she was, and hearing them always made everyone smile.

To know Ruby truly was to love her.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, laughter, and unconditional love that will live on through her family and everyone whose lives she touched.

We are asking for help to give our mother the beautiful and dignified service she deserves. Every donation, regardless of the amount, will go directly toward her memorial service and final expenses. If there are any remaining funds after these expenses are paid, they will be used to help settle other expenses related to her passing.
