My name is Jakelin Quiroa, and I am Ruby’s little sister. Tragically, my older sister Ruby Alexandra Quiroa Santos passed away on January 31, 2026, due to a car accident as she and my other older sister Selina Quiroa were getting ready to come home. Ruby was only 23 years old—a beautiful young woman with a radiant light and a heart full of love. She was the most caring, loving, hardworking, fearless, and God-fearing woman I have ever known. Her passion was working on cars, and she had big dreams of opening her own shop this year. Ruby lit up every room she entered and could make anyone laugh, always seeing the bright side in any dark situation. Her huge, contagious smile made every day better, and she carried my mother’s personality and heart—so welcoming and full of kindness.

The reason I am starting this GoFundMe is because nobody is ever mentally or financially prepared for the unexpected death of a loved one. With Ruby’s passing, our family is facing many financial costs for proper services and a funeral, and we weren’t prepared for this. I want her farewell to be as beautiful as she was, honoring her memory and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
