Honoring Roy’s Life After His Battle with Cancer

Donation protected
Our family is asking for help during an incredibly difficult time.

On February 26, 2026, we lost Roy after his battle with pancreatic cancer. We only learned of his illness on January 31st, and everything happened far too quickly.

Roy leaves behind four children, including two who are still young — ages 15 and 10. These children have already experienced heartbreaking loss. They lost their mother in 2017, their brother Roy Jr. in 2023, and our family also lost my father-in-law in 2024. Now they are facing the unimaginable loss of their father.

My mother-in-law is now caring for the two youngest children, and our family is doing everything we can to support them.

Life was not always easy for Roy, but he did everything he could for his kids. After losing his wife, he continued raising them and stayed strong through many challenges. His faith in Jesus helped guide him through it all.

We were always a very tight-knit family. We spent all the holidays together — birthdays, Super Bowls, or really any occasion we could find just to sit around, talk story, yell at the kids, and talk over one another. That was just our family. Roy always had a way of keeping the peace and making sure we stayed together.

Roy loved being a father and was proud to be a grandfather. He leaves behind a grandson and a granddaughter on the way who will grow up hearing stories about the kind of man he was.

Unfortunately, our family was not financially prepared for the sudden expenses that come with laying Roy to rest. We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover funeral expenses, a viewing, and a celebration of life so we can give him the farewell he deserves.

For those who would like to come and pay their respects, we will be holding a one-hour viewing at Oahu Mortuary on April 2nd from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

If you are able to donate, any amount would mean so much to Roy’s children and our family. If donating isn’t possible, we completely understand — your prayers, love, and simply sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to us.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this time.

Much love and aloha.
