Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of my beloved grandma Rosalva on November 2nd. She fought courageously through health complications from diabetes and dialysis, but her body grew tired, and God called her home.

My grandma was the heart of our family, a woman full of love, laughter, and strength. No matter what she went through, she always found a way to make others smile, and her kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. She showed her love through cooking; every meal she made brought us together. The smell of our favorite dishes and the sound of her laughter could fill the whole house, making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Those memories around the table will forever stay in our hearts.

She leaves behind my grandpa, who is heartbroken without his lifelong partner, and my uncle, who has Down syndrome, both of whom she loved and cared for deeply every single day. Our family is now doing everything we can to support them and honor her memory the way she deserves.

I created this GoFundMe to help cover her medical bills, funeral expenses, and to support my grandpa as he adjusts to life without her. Any donation, big or small, will help us give her the beautiful farewell she deserves and bring some comfort to those she left behind.

Con el corazón roto compartimos la triste noticia del fallecimiento de mi querida abuela Rosalva, el pasado 2 de noviembre. Luchó valientemente contra las complicaciones de salud causadas por la diabetes y la diálisis, pero su cuerpo se cansó, y Dios la llamó a su hogar.

Mi abuela fue el corazón de nuestra familia: una mujer llena de amor, alegría y fortaleza. No importaba por lo que estuviera pasando, siempre encontraba la manera de hacer sonreír a los demás, y su bondad dejó una huella eterna en todos los que la conocieron. Mostraba su amor a través de la comida; cada platillo que preparaba nos unía. El aroma de nuestras comidas favoritas y el sonido de su risa llenaban toda la casa, haciendo que todos nos sintiéramos bienvenidos y amados. Esos recuerdos alrededor de la mesa vivirán por siempre en nuestros corazones.

Deja atrás a mi abuelo, quien está profundamente triste sin su compañera de vida, y a mi tío, quien tiene síndrome de Down; ambos fueron el centro de su amor y cuidado cada día. Ahora, nuestra familia está haciendo todo lo posible para apoyarlos y honrar su memoria como ella se merece.
