Honoring Ronnie's Legacy:Support Faith & the Boys

On June 26, 2023, Faith took her beloved husband, Ronnie, to the ER. Ronnie had a lump in his throat for a few weeks, causing him difficulty in swallowing. The medical journey that followed was a testament to his strength and the incredible love and resilience of Faith and their two boys.

Ronnie was not just a husband; he was a loving father, a cherished son, a caring brother, and a playful uncle. His presence in their lives was a source of joy and inspiration.

The medical team conducted exhaustive tests, including CT scans, blood tests, and EKGs. What they discovered was heart-wrenching – an inoperable mass on Ronnie's anterior mediastinum blocking blood flow to his heart and airway. The following day, the oncologist delivered more heartbreaking news. Ronnie had multiple lymphomas on both sides of his neck and armpits. While it was confirmed as cancer, the extent of its aggressiveness was still uncertain.

On July 7, they had a follow-up with the oncologist, and the diagnosis was revealed: Adenocarcinoma. Its origin remained a mystery, and more tests were needed. July 10th brought more devastating news – Stage 4 Esophageal cancer, swollen lymph nodes near his liver, and blood clots. The tumors had grown significantly, constricting his airway and nearing his vena cava.

Throughout this challenging journey, Faith and Ronnie explored every avenue, including natural remedies, in their unwavering pursuit of hope and comfort for Ronnie's health. Their commitment to Ronnie's well-being was boundless, even as they faced the most daunting of circumstances.

The following weeks were filled with pain and agony. In-home hospice was initiated to manage the pain, and Faith continued working to support their family, having to go part-time. Their two beautiful boys, Izaiah (age 12) and Easton (age 7), leaned on their mother for strength, love, and guidance.

Adding to their challenges, in 2020, during the COVID pandemic, Ronnie's life insurance policy lapsed without their knowledge. Although they attempted to purchase a new policy after his diagnosis, it came with a 60-day waiting period, a period Ronnie did not survive.

Yesterday, on September 4th, Ronnie passed away, surrounded by his family, peacefully in his sleep, at the young age of 36. His legacy of love and strength will live on in Faith and their boys.

Now, Faith needs all the help she can get. She is a widow left to care for her boys, and the medical expenses have already amounted to $37,000 since Ronnie's cancer diagnosis. While Medicaid was approved after diagnosis, it does not cover anything prior to July 1st, leaving them with unpaid medical bills from the ER, many tests, surgery, and the biopsy.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to provide much-needed financial relief for Faith and her boys during this incredibly challenging time. Your contributions will help cover medical expenses, support Faith in her role as a single mother, and ensure that Izaiah and Easton have the care and resources they need.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to honor Ronnie's memory and support this loving family during their time of need.
