On behalf of my sister Kayla, my brother-in-law Erik, and my sweet baby nephew Roman, it is with heavy hearts that I reach out to you today, seeking your support and compassion during an incredibly difficult time for our family. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to memorialize Roman Samuel Sotherden, and to provide much-needed assistance to his grieving parents.

On December 13th, this beautiful baby boy was born bringing so much love and joy into our family. He was the best Christmas present anyone could've asked for. There was nothing more precious than when Roman would giggle in his sleep. Even at such an early age you could feel the love that he radiated.

On January 9th at only 27 days old, Roman was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition and unexpectedly left this Earth. As we navigate the devastating aftermath of his departure, we are confronted not only with the overwhelming emotional toll but also the unexpected financial burdens associated with memorial services and other related expenses.

Kayla and Erik are grappling with the unimaginable grief of losing their first and only child after having had so little time with him. During this time, we would like to ask your help in easing their financial strain by coming together as a community to offer support. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to cover the costs of Roman's memorial services, counseling for the family, and other unforeseen expenses that may arise during this challenging period.
