Honoring Rodney Smith: Funeral Expenses & Family Support

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved brother, Rodney. On Friday, September 27th, after a long and courageous battle with mental health challenges, Rodney’s fight came to an end.

Rodney was a kind, compassionate, vibrant, soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. He didn’t suffer in silence; he bravely reached out for help and those around him did everything they could to make him feel loved and supported. Despite this, the burden of his struggles was immense. He tried to remain strong after the loss of our sister, Stephanie, but the pain of her absence eventually became too much to bear.

As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we want to remind everyone of the importance of mental health awareness and seeking help when it is needed. Mental illness is often an invisible battle, but Rodney showed that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, and it can make a difference. Let his memory remind us to continue supporting one another and to show compassion for those facing similar challenges.

We will miss Rodney more than words can express, but we will carry him in our hearts forever.

Services are yet to be determined as to when and where. Anyone whose life he touched is welcome.
