Honoring Rob's Legacy by Helping His Family

Donation protected

Dear Friends, Family, and Community:

We are reaching out on behalf of our lifelong friends the Menschel's. It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Robert David Menschel, who left us on December 12, 2024. Rob was taken from us far too soon, just under a month until his 60th birthday. He was a devoted husband, father, friend and colleague, and he leaves behind his beloved wife Andrea, and sons Kyle and Jared.

Rob had a pure soul, always willing to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, and spread positivity to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His depth of knowledge on all things sports or music related was more useful than Google. He’d never met a dog he didn’t love. He was a source of strength and stability for his family and friends He was simultaneously one of the most beautifully serious, fun-loving, goofy, and sincere men we’ve ever had the honor of knowing. Though his time with us was cut short, his impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

For more than 30 years, Rob had a distinguished career in the sports broadcasting industry across the nation. He was recognized for his dedication and excellence as a camera operator, lighting director, and game director, but it was Rob's friendship and warm presence that truly made him remarkable.

Rob’s passing has left an immense void for his family. Rob successfully beat cancer in the 1990s, but his recent health had been outstanding. Despite that, the past cancer battle made getting any life insurance policy too costly. His sudden passing has left his family with financial burdens related to medical, funeral and final expenses.

As they navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out to all who knew and loved Rob and his family to come together and honor his memory. Your support will help ease the financial strain on Rob’s family during this heartbreaking time, allowing them the space to grieve and celebrate the incredible life he lived.

We are asking for donations to help cover these costs by January, 15, 2025. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help at this time. If you are unable to contribute financially, we ask that you keep their family in your thoughts during this time of grief, and consider sharing this page with others who may want to help provide support in some way.

With gratitude and love,
Jill Hurwitz and Terry Saucier
