Honoring Robert's Memory: Support for His Family
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of Robert’s passing on New Year's Day. He had been battling an illness for a long time, and his body just couldn’t go any longer. His passing was unexpected. We held onto the hope that he had more time, a chance to get stronger and to heal.
Robert was just 40 years old, leaving us two weeks shy of his 41st birthday. He passed away at home, exactly where he wanted to be, close to his loved ones. He is survived by his loving mother and his beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Vida. He chose her name with care, and it embodied exactly what she meant to him: life.
The void that Robert leaves in our hearts and the pain of his absence will be with us always. Robert was a kind and loving soul who gave everything he could to the people he loved. He found joy in music, playing his electric guitar, and above all, being present for his daughter the best way he could. He loved her with all his heart.
Robert always dreamed about going to Yosemite National Park. It was something he would talk about all the time, but he never got a chance to go. To honor his memory, we would like to spread some of his ashes there and hold a small intimate ceremony to give his family a sense of peace and closure.
We are also asking for support for Robert’s mother during this difficult time. Any contributions will help ease some of her financial burdens, such as the cost of cremation, as she mourns the loss of her only child.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering helping us fulfill Robert’s wish. Your kindness, no matter how big or small, in any form, means the world to me, to Vida, and to everyone who loved Robert.
With love and gratitude,
- Yesenia (close friend and mother of his child)
