Honoring Robert Simmons: A Community Leader

Funds are being raised for burial services for Mr. Robert L. Simmons, who transitioned back to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Robert was an active community member who impacted many lives in Asheville/Buncombe County. He previously worked with Life On Life Terms, Community Action Opportunities, and Changing Together, SPARC - contracted with Buncombe County Health and Human Services Community Engagement Team. Robert served on the Advisory Board to the Asheville Housing Authority in saving the historic Livingston Street Elementary School and renaming it to the Arthur R. Edington Education and Career Center. He also served as a certified Life Coach and was founder of RLS Enterprises, Limited creating The Father to Father Empowerment Program which was instrumental in connecting fathers within the lives of their children. He was a strong community advocate and transformational leader who supported others in reaching their goals. Only a few of his endeavors have been mentioned.

All funds will be directly transferred to his family for finalizing services through Ray Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Also, please feel free to submit monetary support directly to Ray Funeral & Cremation Services. Final arrangements will be posted.
