Your donation will go towards helping cover funeral and memorial cost as well as providing support to the family during this challenging period. Every contribution no matter the size makes a difference and sharing this page with others is just as meaningful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and love during this time.

UPDATE: Obituary

To know him was to love him. Robert Troy Owens, 52, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1973, in Atascadero, California, to his parents, Merrlyn Owens and Robert T. Owens.

Robert was a kind and devoted soul who loved wholeheartedly. His infectious smile and contagious laughter could brighten any room. He lived selflessly, giving his family and friends the greatest gifts of all: his love, his undivided attention, his humor, and most importantly, his time. He truly had a special relationship with each person he met, a reflection of the genuine love and connection he carried within him.

From a young age, Robert chose to live life to the fullest. He had a passion for all things related to cars, cherished time spent with family and friends and was always ready to add humor to any situation. He had a way of making everything fun. His family and friends will forever miss his warm hugs and bright smile, but his impact on their lives will never be forgotten.

Robert is survived by his mother, Merrlyn Owens; his children, Robert Owens, Phillip Owens, and Vinny Owens; his sister, Robin Owens (Chris); his beloved grandchildren, Emmett and Ellie Knotts; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Owens, Gabrielle Johnson, and Mercutio Jackson; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Owens; his grandmother, Violet Noble; and his stepfather, Rick Epps.

A service will be held on Saturday May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Nipomo, 110 N. Thompson Avenue, Nipomo, California 93444. A motorcycle procession will follow from the church to Nipomo Community Park (Monterey Site) for a Celebration of Life. Lunch will be provided.
