No parent should ever have to bury their child. A family I hold close to my heart unexpectedly lost their sweet son, and their family is now facing unimaginable heartbreak while also carrying the financial burden of funeral expenses.

Rob was the kind of person who brought light wherever he went, always smiling, always helping others, always making people feel loved. He was an amazing person to know. He had a way of making everyone around him laugh. He was protective, kind-hearted, gentle, and deeply loved by his family and friends.

To his siblings, Rob was more than a brother — he was their best friend. He was his mother’s velcro child, even at 17, he was always talking to his “Ma Dukes”. He was his mother’s joy, and a piece of her heart that can never be replaced.

As this family tries to navigate a loss no family should ever endure, we are asking for help to give him the beautiful service and goodbye he deserves. The viewing will be held Saturday from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Matthews Funeral home, with the funeral service on Sunday at 3:00pm at Amazing Grace Church on Ledo Road.
