My aunt, Rikki Skog, was an indigenous mother to three girls and the youngest of eight siblings. She loved her daughters more than anything and spent many years fighting drug addiction so she could be sober for her girls. Rikki was a caring and resilient woman who always put her family first, and her strength inspired everyone who knew her.
Recently, Rikki was found deceased, her body abandoned in a ditch. There is an ongoing investigation into her suspicious death, and our family is devastated by this tragic loss. We want to honor her memory and celebrate her life with an Ojibwe ceremony, reflecting her heritage and the love she had for her family.
The funds raised will help cover the cost of the funeral and memorial service, allowing us to give Rikki the farewell she deserves. We are extremely grateful for any support during this difficult and scary experience. Your kindness will help us honor and celebrate the life of a beloved mother, sister, and auntie.
