Honoring Rhonda's vibrant life with a beach memorial

It pains me to make this GoFundMe. I am the grieving daughter of Rhonda "RoadRunner" Harris. My name is Candace and my brother, Trevor and I are managing all the final wishes for our mother. To say that she passed unexpectedly would be an understatement since she was literally getting ready for the day, with plans to come see her grandbabies. She had baby clothes packed in her truck for the newborn Lil'Luna. She had snacks packed for Audrey, Austin and Aiden. She had the hulahoop packed for Emma and Kallista. She loved her grandbabies more than anything on this planet.
My moma would help any and everybody that she came in contact with. I have watched her give the literal shirt off her back to someone that needed it.
Rhonda has worked hard her entire life. She has worked on construction sites doing steel erection, reading blueprints, supervising welders. She has run a successful cleaning business. She was one of the best cooks you could ever hope to encounter. The ONLY liver and onions I would ever eat, came from her kitchen, and that woman could work some magic on a pot of gravy. Many of you may have met her over the years when she periodically cooked and waitressed at the waffle house in Hopkinsville, Kentucky or Saint Simons island, Georgia or Kingsland, Georgia. There have been several others like in Soddy Daisy Tennessee or Jacksonville Florida. But these are the main ones that she met so many people at. Wait I forgot about her years with the Huddle House too!
She LOVED football. Her college team was the Georgia Bulldogs and her pro team was our Jacksonville Jaguars. She and I celebrated many wins at the Ever bank Stadium.
My mom was one of my best friends. She's who I CHOSE to spend my 21st birthday with. She was my first call when I was angry and needed to vent. She would always listen and then make me laugh by offering some hilarious way at getting revenge, that we never acted upon.
Rhonda loved the beach. The Tiki bar at Sliders on Amelia Island was her happy place. She would always say "toes in the sand, cold beer in my hands" that was a great day for her. This woman was strong enough that she had just gone kayaking UPSTREAM a few days prior to her untimely departure. She taught all her grand daughters how to hula hoop. Every birthday, her #1 thing on her checklist every year was doing cartwheels to celebrate being older.
It seems that her heart couldnt keep up with how lively her spirit was. It gave out on her Wednesday March 26th as she was getting ready for her day. There was no one with her except her 2 dogs Ajax and Bearbear. She was on her way to us. We had so many plans. The kids are on spring break and grama was supposed to be a huge part of it. Now we are trying to plan a beautiful beach memorial that would make her proud. She wouldnt want everyone crying in a stuffy building. She would want us all celebrating HER and enjoying the things she enjoyed. She would want all her friends and family to soak in the sun and smile as they thought of her. Help us to keep her spirit alive.
