The legendary Godfather of the Twin Cities rock scene, Curtiss A and friends, recorded a cover version of the mid-'60s hit, Walk Away Renee (Left Banke), in honor and memory of Renee Macklin Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026. On January 24, 2026, Alex Pretti was also fatally shot by federal agents on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis. Both were kind and brave people serving as observers during the recent ICE surge and siege.
