Honoring Remington's Short Journey
Donation protected
On January 5, 2025, just 5 days into the new year, my nephew Remington Pyle was sleeping calmly when suddenly he became unable to breathe and began turning blue. Remington was born with T21 Down syndrome, and although he was born mostly healthy, he spent the first two weeks in the NICU due to breathing complications but was finally sent home after his parents were given classes on CPR and how to use his oxygen tanks.
Seeing their newborn in distress, Remi’s parents, Chloe Pyle and Daniel Mooney, jumped to action, performing CPR while waiting on the ambulance. Once the ambulance arrived, his oxygen had already been cut off for more than five minutes. There was already a chance he was brain dead, but the paramedics didn’t give up, and he did regain his pulse. Unfortunately, that was all the fight he had left because less than 30 minutes later, he stopped breathing again, and this time he gained his wings.
Funds will be used for his cremation and memorial services at Proctor funeral home in Camden Arkansas.
