We are heartbroken to share that our beloved stepfather, Remigio Peña Jr,passed away this Sunday at the age of 78 after suffering a massive stroke during a surgical procedure.
Our family is still trying to process this sudden loss. He was a devoted husband to my mom and a man who showed his love through action. As a carpenter, he spent his life building and fixing things—always there to help with both big and small projects. That’s how he showed up for the people he loved.
In the midst of this grief, the very next day, my mom—overwhelmed with loss and exhaustion—was involved in a car accident that completely totaled her car. Thankfully, she survived, but this has added an unexpected and heavy financial burden at the worst possible time.
She is now facing the cost of funeral and hospital expenses for her husband while also trying to figure out how to replace her only vehicle.
We are asking for any support to help ease this burden. Donations will go toward funeral and medical
costs and helping my mom secure reliable transportation so she can begin to rebuild and move forward.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this or keeping our family in your thoughts means just as much.
Thank you for helping us honor his life and for supporting my mom during this incredibly difficult time.
