Help Us Honor Rebecca’s Life
Beloved friend, mother, and Grandmother Rebecca passed away peacefully on the evening of April 4, 2026, at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California, following complications from a surgical procedure on Thursday, April 2nd. She was not alone—her son, Jason, was by her side, holding her hand.

Rebecca is survived by her son Jason, daughter-in-law Tiffany, granddaughter Airadonya, and her dear longtime housemate Jeff, along with her beloved dogs, Chloe and Little.

A Life of Service and Community
Rebecca lived a life rooted in community, kindness, and quiet dedication.

She spent many years supporting the Krotona Institute of Theosophy, was a member of the Le Droit Humain Ojai Valley Lodge #551 and volunteered her time at the local library in recent years.

Her presence touched many—through friendship, service, and the simple, steady way she showed up for others. She will be deeply and dearly missed.

Honoring Her Return to the Earth

In keeping with her values, her remains will be placed in a handcrafted, biodegradable eco-sphere, allowing her to return naturally to the earth she loved.

A Reflection on Passing

Dying is…..

I am standing on the sea shore. A ship sets out, spreading her great white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and as I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon, someone at my side says, “She is gone!” Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all; she is just as large in the masts, hull and spar as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.

The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her; and just at the moment when someone at my side says, “She is gone”, there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up the glad shout, “There she comes”, and that is dying.
