As a close friend of Ray and his wife Cindy, and with the permission of the family, I have created this fundraiser to help support the family during a time that no one was expecting — the sudden passing of Ray.

Ray was a remarkable man, loved by so many for his incredible kindness, humor, and generosity. He was the most devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, always putting his family first and giving so much of himself to others. His love for Cindy, his children, and grandchildren was immeasurable, and his passion for life was contagious.

Ray’s love for the ocean, the Outer Banks, and sharing his knowledge of the area with others was something that brought him immense joy. Whether he was looking for seashells along the shore or just soaking in the beauty of the coastline, Ray’s spirit was truly at home by the water. He was also a proud fan of the Tar Heels, and his humor and wit could brighten any room.

This unexpected loss has left a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him, especially Cindy and the family. As they navigate this difficult time, I’m asking for your support to help them with the financial burdens that come with such a sudden loss.
