My name is Marcy and I'm helping my family raise money for the funeral and burial arrangements for my aunt Raquel Marroquin. Our family is heartbroken with the sudden goodbye to my aunt. Just a few days ago things turned for the worse. Even when we knew that things were serious, we were still holding onto hope. We truly believed we had more time to get her that liver transplant she needed.
I think we always hope we have more time with the people we love. That there will be more chances, more moments, but life has a way of of showing us that's not always true.
We think she was just tired.
She was such a character, anyone that knew her found her to be such a bright, strong, and especially cheeky person at times. She brought us so much laughter in our lives, She was a second mom to me but especially to her grandkids. 8 of which lived with her, who she helped raise and love. Had my family truly known the extent of how seriously sick she was I have no doubt my cousins would have moved heaven and earth for her. But here we are in the aftermath, hoping for your help to help lay her to rest with the love and dignity she deserves in her final moments,
As a family we are coming together to pitch in to help with what we can. But the reality is that we need all the help we can get right now. This has been such a sudden and unexpected departure, so we ask for help during this difficult time.
No amount is too small, and even sharing this page means everything to us.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during such a painful time for our family right now.
