With deep sadness, we share that our dad, Ramon Bautista Mananquil, also known as “Monching” and “Grandpa Ching,” passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Dad was full of care, humor, creativity, precision, and action. He was “everybody’s uncle”, a teacher, an animal whisperer, and a supporter for those around him. An artist in countless ways—whether building and fixing anything, playing instruments, cooking, or simply bringing life, care and joy to every moment, garage and party—He provided grounding and guidance for so many people. His presence was undeniably impactful in our lives and in our hearts.

He honored his elders, cared deeply for family, and always wanted the best for everyone. In recent years, he found God and transformed; he centered his life on peace and simplicity, and we are comforted knowing he carried that peace on Earth and now holds it for eternity.

During this time of hardship and uncertainty, this sudden passing of our father leaves us in shock and sadness.

We are grateful and comforted with the outpouring of love and care. Many of our family and friends of our dad have requested us to share a way to contribute and support. Please know that each donation is such a blessing and we thank you all for the love and kindness.
