It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Ramatu Mayeye Famata Kiadii Soko, also known as Coco Chanel. Ramatu's untimely passing on the morning of January 12th, 2026, has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was an energetic pioneer of her time, the light of every party, and someone who never hesitated to help anyone in need. If she attended your event, she would automatically become your Jamaican MC, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Ramatu was beautiful, resilient, and always encouraged those around her to be great, inspiring countless people with her warmth and generosity.

As we come together to honor Ramatu's memory, we are reaching out to our community for support. The funds raised will help cover the costs of her funeral and a memorial service to celebrate her remarkable life. In addition, a portion of the funds will go towards supporting her youngest daughter, Mariama, who is graduating high school in 2026 and starting her college education. We want to encourage Mariama to continue her studies and be the best she can be, even through all this turmoil. Your contribution will help us give Ramatu the proper homegoing she truly deserves and support Mariama's future.
