Honoring Ralph Molina’s Legacy and Family

Ralph Paul Molina Jr was a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was also a craftsman of rare pride and integrity. He passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in Big Sky, leaving behind a family and a community that leaned on him deeply.

At home, Ralph was the foundation. His family was his purpose. He carried them in everything he did. He believed a man’s job was to grow stronger for the weight he carried, not to wish the weight away. He often said he never asked for a lesser burden, only broader shoulders to carry it. He lived that belief every day.

He is survived by his wife Gabrielle, and his family of children.

Ralph overcame drug and alcohol addiction and rebuilt his life with honesty and grit. He became the person others called when they needed guidance. The steady voice. The one who had walked through fire and came back with perspective. He did not pretend to be perfect. He worked to be better than he was the day before.

In his work, that same standard showed. Ralph was an integral part of The Montage at Spanish Peaks, the One &Only Punch Team, and had just begun supporting work at the YC. His craftsmanship is woven into the fabric of Big Sky and across Montana. The homes, lodges, and spaces he touched carry his standard of care and precision.

He polished projects to the highest level. He noticed the details most people would overlook. He believed that if his name was attached to something, it had to be right. Ralph took pride in leaving every space better than he found it.

He was not only an exceptional craftsman and teammate, but a meaningful part of the Big Sky community. Our projects are stronger because of his hands, and our industry is better because of his example.

Now his family faces an unthinkable loss. We are raising funds to support Gabi and the children during this time. Donations will help cover memorial expenses and provide stability as they navigate life without the man who anchored them.

If Ralph ever gave you advice, encouragement, or his time, you know the kind of man he was. If you worked beside him, you know the standard he held. If you love this family, now is the time to stand with them.

Any contribution helps. If you are unable to give, please share this page and keep the Molina family in your thoughts and prayers.

Let’s carry this burden together, the way Ralph taught us to.
