The body of Rajiv Ruparelia, son of Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, has been brought to the family’s residence in Kololo, Kampala, ahead of his cremation today.
Family, friends, and dignitaries gathered to pay their final respects as preparations continue for his cremation ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Hindu Crematorium in Lugogo.
Rajiv, aged 35, tragically passed away in a car accident on May 3, 2025, while on his way to serve as a groomsman. He was a prominent businessman and Managing Director of the Ruparelia Group, known for his contributions to Uganda’s real estate and education sectors.

We never imagined a world without Rajiv Ruparerira—his laughter, his kindness, his unwavering belief in the goodness of people. On May 3, 2025, we lost more than a loved one; we lost a bright light, a gentle soul who touched so many lives without ever asking for anything in return.
Rajiv lived with quiet strength and deep compassion. He gave selflessly—whether it was helping a child with school fees, caring for the sick, or simply listening when someone needed to talk. He believed in people, in hope, and in building a better world, one act of kindness at a time.
In the wake of his passing, we are heartbroken—but we are also determined. Determined to make sure that his spirit doesn’t fade, that the love and goodness he poured into this world continue to ripple outward. That’s why we’ve created the Rajiv Ruparerira Memorial Fund.
This fund is not just about remembering Rajiv—it’s about living the values he stood for. It will support [insert cause: education, health, youth empowerment, etc.], just as Rajiv did, quietly and powerfully.
If you knew Rajiv, you know how much he gave of himself. If you didn’t, we hope this fund helps you understand the beauty of the life he lived. Please help us carry his legacy forward—so that even in his absence, Rajiv can keep changing lives.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
