My sister, Racquel Clark, was only 34 years old. She had been courageously battling kidney issues since she was a child, showing strength and resilience through every challenge life placed in front of her. About a year and a half ago, she was diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney failure and began dialysis three times a week. Even through it all, she continued to fight with grace.

This past weekend, Racquel wasn’t feeling well but finally made the decision to go to the hospital. There, we learned she had developed blood clots in her lungs. She was quickly transferred to another hospital an hour away to receive more advanced care. Despite the doctors doing everything they could and giving her the best care possible, it was already too late.

Within just 12 hours, our beloved Racquel passed away. Her sudden loss has left our family heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with the pain. She was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can ever express.
