Porter Jay Roberts IV was born on May 11, 1974, and passed away on February 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with liver and prostate cancer. His passing was sudden and deeply heartbreaking for everyone who knew and loved him.

Porter was an exceptional athlete and leader. He attended Purdue University on a full basketball scholarship from 1992 to 1996, where he helped lead the team to three Big Ten Championships in 1994, 1995, and 1996. In 1996, he was honored as Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. After college, Porter continued his basketball career overseas, playing professionally in Argentina, the United Kingdom, and France.

Beyond his accomplishments on the court, Porter was a devoted father. He leaves behind his beloved 8-year-old son, Corinthian Roberts, whose life has been forever changed by this unexpected loss.

We are raising funds to help cover Porter’s funeral and memorial expenses and to ensure his son is cared for during this incredibly difficult transition. With Porter’s passing being so sudden, his family now faces the urgent need to provide stability, support, and a safe future for Corinthian.
