Honoring Pops: Help Myra Preserve His Memory with cremation
Donation protected
On May 30th, our beloved family Shih Tzu, Pops, passed away at nearly 18 years old. Pops was more than just a pet—he was a constant companion to my mom, Myra, and a cherished part of our family. From holiday gatherings to quiet evenings at home, Pops was always by her side, sharing in every joy and comforting her through every hardship. His gentle presence and unwavering loyalty made him a true family member, and his absence has left a deep ache in our hearts, especially for my mom.
The woman who gave me everything in life—who wiped my tears during heartache and supported me through it all—now faces a loss that words can hardly describe. When I mentioned the idea of having pops near even after his passing, I saw hope in her eyes and a lightness in her face, followed by tears—tears of relief that maybe this pain wouldn’t last forever. Initially we were looking into taxidermy but its pretty expensive and my mom does not want to burden anyone. So now she has decided on and accepts cremation. Eighteen years is a long time; think about what you have accomplished or lost in that amount of time. Pops became disabled a few years ago, and my mom, with her heart full of unconditional love, didn’t euthanize him. Instead, she dedicated those years to nursing him back to health, helping him use the bathroom when he couldn’t on his own, and being at his beck and call—the same actions we would take for a human we love. This unconditional love she gave him taught me a thing or two- It was the EPITOME of Selflessness.
Yes, I know some may say he was just a dog, but to my mom, he was her companion, her comfort, and her healer. The unconditional love a pet gives can heal you in ways even a human sometimes cannot. If you do sympathize we are asking for your help. Any donation—no matter the amount—or even sharing this GoFundMe or providing resources, would mean the world to us. We know times are tough for everyone, so anything you can offer is deeply appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. Your support will help us preserve Pops’ memory and bring comfort to my mom as she grieves.
Thank you friends, family and clients.
Love,
Priscilla
