On June 02.2025, my family suffered a major loss. After a year and half health battle, heaven gained an Angel. My uncle, Placido Ruiz Gonzalez, was more than just an uncle to our family—he was a grandfather and father figure whose kindness and positivity shaped everyone’s life. He never had children of his own but yet treated us like his own. Placido was known for his infectious smile, his love of music, and his incredible dancing. No matter what challenges he faced, he always brought joy to those around him and never let his difficult upbringing dampen his spirit. Even despite being hospitalized for a year and a half he never gave up and continued fighting . Going through an open heart surgery and then being placed on a ventilator yet he continued to smile through it all.

Placido’s passing has left a deep void in our family. I am organizing this fundraiser to help cover the costs of his funeral services and to honor his memory in a way that reflects the love and light he brought to everyone he met. Any support will go directly toward giving Placido the respectful farewell he deserves. Any donation big or small is truly appreciated and helps ease the financial burden.
