Phineas Lee passed away unexpectedly on October 15 at the age of 49, leaving his wife Joyce and three children, Amelia (17), Nate (15), and AJ (13). We are heartbroken about losing this amazing father, husband, and friend who was taken from us much too soon.
Phineas’ biggest priority was his family. Their favorite family activity was bike riding, starting with two bikes before any of the kids came along, and then adding on accessories to bring the kids along as the family grew. They also loved traveling together, whether it was soaking in the sun at Virginia Beach, visiting the same ice cream shop during their annual trip to Harper’s Ferry, or exploring London as they did on a recent trip together. He was very involved with sports and coached his kids’ basketball, baseball, and volleyball teams. And he always emphasized the importance of education with his children.
Amelia just started her freshman year at University of Pittsburgh, where she is pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences. Nate is a sophomore in high school, and AJ is in 8th grade. Phineas spent his life doing everything he could to ensure his children had what they needed to succeed, and we want to do everything we can to help Joyce ensure this is possible. Your gift will go directly to college savings accounts for each of the three children.
Thank you so much for your generosity.
