My name is Shell (Shelley Zarreke) and as many know, my cousin Peter Piotrowski passed away suddenly on 12/31/25. This came as a huge shock, as it did to many. I have received many messages with condolences and words of how wonderful Peter was. I am grateful so many saw his heart of gold.
I am not one to ask for help, especially this way as I know there can be a stigma attached, and backlash. But sometimes life leaves us with no other choice. Living in Wisconsin, I was unprepared for the emotional and financial challenges of traveling to take care of his disposition and settle his affairs. I want to do right by Peter and costs have quickly added up. There may also be additional costs or bills that I am not yet aware of.
Any help is deeply appreciated, and if you’re unable to contribute, I completely understand as it is hard for many. Please know any funds raised will go directly toward Peter’s final arrangements, including a direct cremation, addressing any outstanding debts, and helping with the travel expenses required to be there for him. I want to honor Peter’s wishes and memory in the best way I can. My biggest wish is for everyone to remember Peter for the kind soul he was, to smile when you speak his name, to celebrate his life and what he meant to you, and to honor his memory by being kind as he was.
