My name is Ashley. My son's cat, Penny, passed away over Easter weekend unexpectedly. She was 18 years old. We found out she had a mammary gland tumor (cancer) that had come through her skin. We immediately took her to the vet, and an X-ray showed she had two other masses, and the cancer had spread. Her health had declined recently, and we made the best decision to put her to sleep. My son held his cat as we said goodbye. Penny was a rescue that we adopted 2.5 years ago in Tulsa. She bonded with my son, and he was her main caretaker. She slept with him every night and liked to groom his hair lol. She is deeply missed, and he is lost without her.
