Honoring Penn State Student Christian Wirth

On March 4, 2022, the Penn State Altoona’s student newspaper, the Collegiate Review, lost one of our own, Christian Wirth, a freshman and a member of our reporting staff. We hope to commemorate his memory by raising money for a memorial tree and/or bench on the campus of Penn State Altoona.

Christian had a strong interest in sports and sports journalism, especially racing, football and basketball. The last story he wrote for the Collegiate Review was a preview of Super Bowl 56. He was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him.

Christian passed away unexpectedly in Oak Hall the day before Spring Break. His life was taken from him. The least we can do is honor the part of his life that he shared with us.
