If you have received this link, you are a dear friend of our beloved Pawel Lasiecki, who passed on September 25 at the all-too young age of 53 in Portland Oregon, leaving an incredible legacy of rich memories, kindness, generosity, and wisdom.

Pawel was blessed to be surrounded by incredible people throughout his life. Their quality and enduring loyalty are a living testament to the person he was and the life he lived.

Over the past 10 years, John, Kate and Oona Leahy were special friends and became a steady support system for him. In the last month leading up to his passing, the Leahy Family devoted everything to ensuring Pawel was completely supported and visited daily, sometimes multiple times.

All those who loved Pawel (and it was a very large number, across the world) were kept up to date on his health, were comforted and looked after - whether via phone or in person during a visit to Portland. They read friend-sent texts aloud by Pawel's hospital bed, played personal videos for him, prayed with him, and would sit with him for hours - all to comfort him and us. For those of you who were able to travel to to Portland, their spirit did so much for not just Pawel but the grieving among us.

The Leahys' collective generosity was simply incredible and made a deeply sad process easier for all of us thanks to their selflessness and grace.

This GoFundMe is to present the family with funds to do with as they please as a sign of our collective thanks. During a recent visit they mentioned how much they enjoy vacationing on the Oregon Coast, so that's one idea, but that's up to them.
