My father Paul — the man who has loved me since birth — passed away on the night of the 8th of March after battling stage 5 cancer. In his final days he was placed on hospice care, and when the time came, our family gathered at the hospital after receiving the call that he would be taken off life support. We were able to spend time with him, surrounding him with love before leaving the hospital. Later that night, he peacefully took his last breath.
This is one of the hardest things our family has ever walked through. Watching someone you love suffer while trying to stay strong for them is a pain you can never prepare for. Even in his final moments, we made sure he was surrounded with love, dignity, peace, and honor.
As we now face the reality of saying goodbye, we are also preparing for the financial responsibility of his final arrangements. Our family plans to celebrate his life with a funeral service and then proceed with cremation. Even with choosing the simplest and most affordable route, the costs are still overwhelming.
This is why we are asking for help.
We are humbly reaching out to our community, our village, and kind-hearted strangers who feel led to give. Any amount — big or small — helps lighten the financial burden and allows our family to focus on honoring his life and grieving together.
Your support will help with:
• Funeral service expenses
• Cremation costs
• Ensuring Paul is honored with love and respect
Our goal is to raise $2,000 — not to ask for much, only enough to cover the basic costs and make sure we can carry out his arrangements peacefully and without added stress.
Whether you donate, share this link, or simply pray for our family, please know your compassion makes a difference. Every act of kindness reminds us that we are not walking this journey alone.
From our hearts to yours — thank you.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for giving.
Thank you for helping us honor a man who gave so much love in his lifetime.
With love,
Dawn & Family
