I'm a friend helping to raise funds for Paul Kuehne's funeral and memorial expenses and donations to go toward his loving wife who is left without a financial safety net.

I only recently came to know Paul, and his wife Constance, and they left a huge impression on me as giving people who care deeply for their community. Paul was a disabled U.S. Army Veteran and battled daily with chronic pain, however in spite of his physical challenges, he was kind, faithful, and loving to his core. He passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2025.

Constance, his partner of 21 years, is now not only dealing with the shock of his sudden passing but also financial uncertainty. Paul and Constance were in a domestic partnership, with plans to have an official wedding ceremony this January 2026 around the date of her birthday. When Paul was hospitalized the week of December 14th and they discovered he was a candidate for hospice, they had a spur of the moment wedding ceremony in the hospital on Thursday, December 18th, one day before he was scheduled to return home for hospice care. It very sadly turned out that Paul took his last breath just hours after their ceremony.

Moreover, because Paul and Constance's union wasn't legally recognized for at least one year, Constance is ineligible to receive his benefits as is standard for widows of U.S. veterans upon their passing.

It is unthinkable to lose your most beloved person. To be worrying about going into debt and being displaced from your home on top of this is truly unimaginable.

Please help in supporting Constance to not only give Paul a funeral ceremony of great honor, but to have an emergency savings fund that will provide her with great relief.

Note: Paul's funeral will be held at the Northern California Veteran's Cemetery in Igo, CA. The date is TBD and will be announced here once confirmed.
