Honoring Patti's Legacy: Funeral Expenses Needed

With heavy hearts it is devastating to announce that Patricia "Patti" Nestor Kossak, 68, of Kennewick, WA, passed away on November 3, 2024 due to heart failure. Patricia was born on November 27, 1955 to John and Mable Nestor in Pasco, WA.

After Patricia graduated from Pasco High School in 1974, she went on to study Arts and Science at Columbia Basin College and Eastern Washington University. After graduation, she went on to lead a career in the mental health field. In 2000, Patricia met Greg Kossak in an AOL chat room while both were living in Portland, OR. They immediately fell in love and were quickly married the following year.

They moved to Tri-Cities, Washington in 2002 where they lived many happy years together until Greg's passing in 2009. In 2010, Patricia retired and enjoyed spending her time at the ice rink with her beloved hockey community and having get-togethers with her many close friends. Many years later, she also was diagnosed with breast cancer and came out victorious. In 2022, she was cancer free.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Greg, and her parents, John and Mable. She is survived by her son, Scott Kossak and his wife, Taylor Kossak, the hockey family she loved, and a brother.

Patti lived a life caring and loving others, and received that love ten fold in return.

For those who would like to attend her memorial service, it will be held at Mueller's Funeral Home on November 14, 2024 at 11am; a viewing will be held at 10 am the same day.

Furthermore, to talk about memories of her with family and friends after the memorial service, there will be a reception at the Richland Dougout from 2p-6p. Not wheelchair accessible, food and drink will be available to purchase, 21+ only.
