My Patti was a new grandma in January 2023. Five years before that, she lost half of her words and her ability to read because of a stroke. Doing her work wasn't possible anymore. She was embarrassed to talk, and she could no longer devour 3 books a week. She fought to regain everything she could with strong determination. Unknown to us were the other injuries to her system that slowly weakened her. She passed away on Mother's Day, just an hour after our kids left for their homes that evening.

Our accounts have been drained in this fight, but you don't count pennies when the life of your love is at stake. Our kids, our 16-month-old granddaughter, and her many supportive friends will celebrate her life on June 2nd at UUCC Park Forest, starting at noon. I would like to create a fitting tribute to this marvelous woman I married 25 years ago come July 18th, 2024. Will you help me?
