Honoring Pastor Brian: Support for Family & Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On December 3rd, 2025, Pastor Brian Tubbs went home to be with the Lord after a hard, two-week battle in the Cardiac ICU where he received the maximum care possible. He suffered a massive, unexpected heart attack the week before Thanksgiving and the family was with him up until the end.

Brian Tubbs was devoted to inspiring faith, kindness, and civility in a world often marked by division and despair. With over twenty years of full-time ministry experience, Brian led a Baptist congregation in the Washington, DC area and previously pastored a church in Ohio.

He married his college sweetheart in 1992 and was the proud father of two adult children. He loved his energetic dog Rex, going on cruises with his wife, Alaskan crab legs, Coca-Cola, and the Washington Commanders.

On November 21st, Brian was transported by helicopter from a hospital closer to home to the best hospital in the area that had an ECMO machine. He was quickly assessed and they began to administer care that included said ECMO, a ventilator, an impella pump, other circulatory machines, and a dialysis machine. While he was being evaluated for a heart transplant, the doctor told the family that he would be one of the first considered given that the care provided to him made him, in their words, “one of the sickest people on the East Coast.”

He never lost his faith during the whole experience and was fighting to get better each day.

As his family works through this difficult time, we are asking for support to assist them with the financial strain of medical and other expenses that may arise.

Any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help carry some of the heavy burden the family is facing. Thank you for your prayers, love, and support during this heartbreaking time.

While we may mourn on this side of eternity, as Brian always used to preach, this is only a temporary separation; we will see him again one day.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
- 2 Timothy 4:7-8
