Honoring Paris Alaiyah Richardson's Legacy

Mommy’s Butterfly and Daddy’s Pretty P entered our lives on May 18, 2016 and we are

forever grateful to God for blessing our family with her. Paris Alaiyah Richardson and her

twin Phillip III (who transitioned at birth) made their debut unexpectedly at 24 weeks and

she displayed such tremendous strength in her short eight (8) years.

As a micro-preemie at birth Paris was diagnosed with Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. She amazed the doctors at every NICU milestone up until

discharge. Every medical challenge she has faced throughout her life, Paris showed

determination and never complained. Although Paris still had physical and

developmental challenges, she was knocking those down too. Paris never gave up. She

was excelling in school, speaking, expressing herself, singing her songs, and beginning to

take steps and walk. She loved her siblings and ran our household and demanded all the

love. We all willingly gave our love back in return. Paris was a joy to us all, and

everyone that met her saw how special she was. Her teachers, physical therapists,

doctors, all agreed that she was a fighter and it made their day with every interaction.

On Mother’s Day our blended family of 9 was hit with a big blow. Our baby girl was

found unresponsive as she napped and we are forever changed.

At such a heartbreaking time we are reaching out to our village and community asking

for assistance with laying Paris to rest. We were not prepared for this as she was doing so

well and had not incurred a seizure in over a year. Any amount contributed would be

greatly appreciated. Please keep our family in your prayers in the days ahead.
