Can't even muster the words to amount the pain my family is going through, for our 3 little angels Liam Harris Parks (1 years old), Oseas Harris Parks (6 years old) along with Isis Harris Parks (Oseas twin sister, 6 years old) were taken from us from due to a fire on May 11th in the "Bainbridge fire" in Fordham Manor Bronx New York. Firefighters rushed to the apartment doing they absolute best to save our babies, yet the heat was so intense that even with NY bravest was not able to resuscitate Liam yet was able to rescue both twins Oseas and Isis. In NY Presbyterian Hospital burn unit the doctors did they very best to extract the soot out of Oseas and Isis lungs, as our family were praying and sleeping in the same hospital room as they were in critical condition. Though no burns were visible for Oseas and Isis, the doctor's efforts to try to clear the soot out of they lungs was a race for the best possible results. At first Isis vitals were doing well while Oseas heart rate was low, but by day 3 Isis heart rate dropped and both babies were depending on the ventilator, by day 4 with family not leaving the hospital and coming in from all over the world, praying and hoping for a miracle, Isis heart rate dropped below critical and though doctors tried to resuscitate her, Isis lungs just couldn't withstand all that was taking place, Friday, May 15 our angel Isis unfortunately passed away. Soon after Oseas heart rate jumped up to about 97 and seemed to have a glimmer of hope that considering how devastated the family were at the time, we were hoping with this good news Oseas would soon at least respond as he seemed to have been on track to recovery. Our little joy of hoping that Oseas would be with us soon was soon brought to a halt after the Neurologist tried several test to see if he would respond and later brought dad Kwesi and Mom Guillermina to another room to disclose the news no one wanted to hear of Oseas having no brain activity also that though when baby Isis passed and his vitals started going up, that soon after he began to decline. At day 6, the doctors gave us a few more days to see if any changes may appear positive, yet we got news that he is unfortunately has no brain activity and now that his lungs were totally depending on the ventilator for oxygen for his body. It was the hardest realization to face the unimaginable that all 3 of our angels were called to heaven too soon and it breaks our hearts to wish we could have an eternity to hold them and say I love you endlessly.
Kwesi "Gazzo" Harris the loving father and former Soldier who served the military in Guyana for 10 years is a devoted father and husband decided along with his wife Guillermina a devoted mother and wife decided to donate Oseas organs which saved 3 peoples lives between ages 8 and 37 reported by LiveOnNY the organization that coordinates organ donation all along New York State. This gift to donate his organs to 3 people on May 18th 2026 will allow 3 New Yorkers to live healthy lives, and even as unfortunate unspeakable tragedy took place, Oseas which means "Salvation" in Spanish will always be a hero that though him and his siblings transitioned to heaven, he was able to restore the lives of 3 people who needed such an angel.
We hope you keep us in your prayers, please hold your loved ones tight. Couldn't imagine that a day after mother's day would be the last time I could hug kiss and stare at the beautiful faces of my babies. If you like to support us during this time, kindly donate anything you can, even say something kind to the savior for us as this situation has brought us to being in the state of disbelief that this happened. Thank you
