It shatters my heart to write these words, and I’m not good at asking for money. On August 6th, my beautiful Mom left this world while in the hospital. I was blessed to be holding her hand in her final moments, with our family on FaceTime, so she wouldn’t be alone. The doctors said the cause was her pancreas describing it as “an explosion inside her.” And yet, in true Mom fashion, she never let any of us see the pain she was in. She was the strongest woman I have ever known. Mama loved God and her church with all her heart. always the first to help, to serve, and to uplift anyone in need. She touched countless lives through her kindness, prayers, and generosity. For the past 5 years, we’ve been stationed here in Alaska. But now, my only wish is to bring her home to Maine… to lay her to rest beside my Dad, the love of her life. This journey is something my brother, my sister, and I can’t do alone. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us give her the farewell she deserves surrounded by the place and the people she loved most. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and helping us honor our Mom’s memory.
