Hello, our names are Joni, Jeremy, Masato, and Makato. We are the eldest children of Matthew Mar. We are reaching out for support during our family's time of need.

For two long years, our Dad has courageously battled cancer, leaving no stone unturned in his fight. It is with heavy hearts to announce that he is beginning his journey to Heaven.

Despite the odds, he remains a pillar of strength for our family and the community. Matt is more than a husband, father, grandfather, dragon-boater, fisherman, paddler, photographer, car enthusiast, and dedicated Starbucks partner—he is the embodiment of passion for life. His unwavering dedication to his family, including his 7-month-old baby daughter and the love of his life and wife, Kyoko, touch us all. He taught us to give our best in everything we do, leading by example as he thrived in every endeavor.
