When tragedy strikes among us, our Roseville community shows up in droves to support each other. Especially when it's our children. In early October, a family near and dear to many of our hearts had the unfathomable happen. Four out of five members of the family were victims of a homicide, and two of the victims attended Woodcreek and Silverado.  This has affected many of their school age friends. It does not appear that there will be a local service due to no family members in the area so we would like to pay tribute to the victims in a community-based way.  While the victims names are not yet released, friends of the two students would like to purchase and dedicate a bench in their family's memory at a local Roseville park (likely Elliott), and will be organizing a gathering/bench dedication once it is installed. Please help us honor our friends in a special way that gives everyone in the community attached to them, or affected by domestic violence, a place to reflect on their special memories. Funds will be used for the memorial bench and supplies for the gathering. Any excess funds will be distributed to a charity such as domestic violence or saving elephants, a cause our friend was passionate about.
