Honoring our father, Dennis Chia Xiong

Hello everyone,

In the early morning of June 30, 2025, we lost my dad. My son and nieces and nephews lost their grandfather.

My name is Kia Xiong, and I want to reach out to raise funds for my dad’s funeral service. Due to his health issues, it was hard for him to get health insurance because of the high cost.

My dad’s name was Dennis Chia Xiong. He was born Bee Xiong and known as Txhiaj Npis Xyooj in the Hmong community. My dad had just turned 65 years old, and although life threw him some curveballs, he always ended up beating the odds. He came to the United States in 1992 to provide a better life for his children. He was a dedicated father who worked tirelessly and extremely hard for his family.

He was well known in the Hmong community and also very active when it came to helping out others. Although he was a man of little words, he always had words of wisdom to give and such a kind heart.

He loved hunting, fishing, and building things. Prior to his untimely death, he enjoyed building shelves in the garage for storage, gardening in the backyard, and just doing miscellaneous things around the house.

It is hard to believe that we will no longer hear his voice, his words of wisdom, and his preaching that we hated so much but will miss the most. I can’t believe I will never have someone to call Dad again.

To say my siblings and I no longer have a father is heartbreaking as his death was unexpected. Even though he had a series of health issues, he was in a good mood and very happy the day before his death. He was doing his favorite things and gardening outside while spending time with his grandchildren.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help and go towards my dad’s funeral service. We want to give him a service he deserves as we say goodbye to our father forever. However, if you are not in a position to donate, please help share the link.
