My name is Kiana McWilliams, and I am the oldest daughter of my Daddy, Kevin McWilliams. Our family is devastated by his sudden passing after an unexpected heart attack while he was at work. Losing him has been heartbreaking and overwhelming, and we are now faced with the emotional and financial responsibility of planning his funeral much sooner than we ever could have imagined.

My younger sister is a senior in high school in our hometown, Chicago, and preparing for some of the most important milestones of her life. She is submitting college applications, preparing for prom, graduation, and her cotillion. I am doing everything I can to support her through this loss while also trying to ensure that her senior year is not overshadowed by tragedy or financial stress. As a big sister, I want to protect my baby sister and support her keeping the course during this difficult time. We also have a brother and our Daddy was proud of all of us, especially when we came together.

I currently live in Virginia, and our family will be holding Daddy’s funeral in Chicago at the end of this month. We are asking for support to help cover funeral costs and to ensure my sister is still able to experience and celebrate her senior year as planned, something our father deeply wanted for her. He was so proud that she was the baby reaching this milestone!
