Our family is heartbroken by the passing of my mother, Nenita Graham, who went home to be with the Lord at the age of 74.
Nenita was a loving mother, grandmother, and a devoted member of Summit Point Church. Her faith as a Baptist woman was an important part of her life, and she carried that faith with kindness, compassion, and a caring heart for everyone around her.
She was the kind of person who always put family first. One of the greatest joys in her life was spending time with her only grandson, Drake. She loved watching him play baseball and cheering him on. Those moments meant the world to her.
She also loved gardening and caring for the orchids that once belonged to her late husband. Tending to those flowers kept his memory alive and was something she truly cherished.
In early January, our lives changed when she was diagnosed with leukemia. The cancer was extremely aggressive. She spent 21 days in the hospital undergoing treatment as we hoped and prayed for recovery. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of her doctors and the treatment she received, the cancer was more aggressive than anyone expected.
After treatment, she began to experience cognitive decline, and we tried to give her body the time it needed to recover. Sadly, in the end, it was simply more than her body could handle.
As her only son, this loss has been incredibly difficult. I recently started working again and am now facing unexpected medical costs, funeral expenses, and the responsibility of keeping up with the bills for her home. I want to do everything I can to honor her life and keep the home she loved.
We are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any support will go toward funeral expenses, outstanding bills, and helping us maintain her home as we navigate this loss.
If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Your prayers, kind words, and sharing this page with others would mean just as much to our family.
My mother was a sweet, caring woman who loved her family deeply and lived her life with faith and kindness. Thank you for helping us honor her memory.
